Powersports Commission
Urban Navigation is the umbrella for the Philadelphia Powersports Commission. We strive for growth, smooth transitions and expansions that positively disrupt the norm within the communities. Our approach also allows the citizens of our city to feel safe, respected, cared for, and connected with.
The Philadelphia Powersports Commission is a program newly generated to serving the people within the Philadelphia communities. In conjunction with “Urban Navigation”, our mission is to decrease gun violence, increase the education of gun safety, proper usage, and carrying firearms legally & responsibly. In addition, our goal is to provide powersports enthusiasts with the ability to exercise their passion for powersports in a safe, productive and responsible manner without disrupting the citizens of our city.

ATV & Dirt Bikes Use
A Growing Urban Issue
Aside from the rise of gun violence, we now have an epidemic with dirt bikes, ATV’s, Can-ams three- wheel motorcycles, and sports bikes. This is a situation that has transpired well over two decades and is now on the fast track to over taking our city streets.
The police are prohibited from chasing down these powersports riders due to it
violating department policy and being a safety hazard to civilians. The youth who have taken a liking to the culture of powersports and developed a passion for it, lack the proper environment and freedom needed to fully express their love for powersports in a safe, undisruptive manner.

We Have A Plan
We see that this is a situation that requires both guidance and healing rather than fixing and punishing. With fixing, it can always be broken. With punishing, nothing is learned or gets resolved. Guidance shows you how to be responsible, accountable, humble, and respectful of yourself, your environment, and your future. This approach has a more standing, long term effect that will carry over into other areas and avenues of your life.
With our mission being to decrease gun violence, decrease the number of powersports riders and motor vehicles in traffic together, and increase the growth and opportunities within our communities, we believe it will be beneficial for everyone. In the powersports program youth will receive technical training on powersports vehicles and small engine repairs. This will allow program attendees to use this skill set to obtain employment and possible entrepreneurship. They will also learn the safety guidelines in properly handling a powersports vehicle as well as fulfilling the required procedures to obtaining legal licensing to operate a powersports vehicle. This will be an uninterruptedly evolving program that will allow attendee’s continuous access to exercising their love and freedom for powersports activities without disturbing the streets of our city.
